These goals and objectives shape how we protect children, support survivors, and strengthen communities. With the support of our donors, awareness is translated into action that strengthens prevention, early intervention, and recovery.
Our Awareness Goals
To raise public awareness in Malaysia about child sexual abuse (CSA), including its prevalence, impact, and the role of P.S. The Children in prevention, reporting, and response.

Our Education & Training Goals
To educate the public about child sexual abuse (CSA) and provide them with the knowledge and skills to combat CSA.
Education & Training Objectives
1. Educate parents and educators
To educate parents and teachers from selected schools on how to recognise the signs and symptoms of CSA.
2. Build prevention and response skills
Train parents and teachers with skills to prevent CSA, manage disclosures safely, and take appropriate action to protect children.
3. Empower children with self-protection skills
Equip pre-school, primary, and secondary school children with age-appropriate information and personal safety skills to help them protect themselves from abuse.
4. Deliver ongoing personal safety programmes
Conduct regular personal safety workshops in schools, engaging parents and teachers as key partners in CSA prevention.
5. Develop trainers and sustainable learning
Design and implement structured curricula to train parents and teachers as trainers, enabling sustainable, community-led CSA prevention efforts.
Our Intervention & Support Goals
To provide timely intervention, guidance, and ongoing support to survivors of child sexual abuse and their families who seek help from P.S. The Children.
Intervention & Support Objectives
1. Provide case intervention and procedural support
Provide case intervention and procedural support by coordinating monthly with the police in Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, and supporting a minimum of six CSA cases per month through reporting and case management processes.
2. Improve access to clear reporting guidance
Produce clear checklists and guidelines on how to report CSA cases, distributing a minimum of 50 printed copies per dissemination to public service centres and maintaining a digital version that is reviewed every six months for updates and feedback.
3. Strengthen collaboration for treatment and follow-up
Collaborate and partner with treatment centres by establishing and maintaining a formal network between intervention teams and treatment providers to support victims of child sexual abuse.
4. Provide accessible and confidential reporting channels
Establish and operate an online portal and telephone helpline to enable anonymous reporting, provide advice, and offer basic counselling, while guiding survivors and families throughout the reporting and support process.

Our Treatment Goals
To provide accessible, professional treatment and therapeutic services for survivors of child sexual abuse and other affected individuals.
Treatment Objectives
1. Provide treatment services and facilities for CSA survivors
Establish and operate a dedicated treatment centre staffed by qualified professionals, with trained personnel supporting therapeutic care for child sexual abuse survivors.
2. Deliver counselling and therapy services for survivors and families
Provide counselling and therapy services through a multidisciplinary team of at least 10 qualified counsellors, offering support in four languages, and evaluate therapeutic outcomes at the completion of counselling sessions.
3. Build capacity in CSA treatment
Train interested professionals and practitioners in child sexual abuse treatment to strengthen long-term service capacity and care quality.
4. Provide treatment services for young sexual offenders
Establish specialised treatment services and facilities for young sexual offenders, supported by qualified staff and trained practitioners to ensure appropriate intervention and rehabilitation.
5. Build specialist expertise for offender treatment
Train professionals in evidence-based treatment approaches for young sexual offenders to support rehabilitation and reduce the risk of reoffending.
