Who Should You Report To?
Reports of suspected child abuse in Malaysia can be made to the Police, Government Hospitals, or the Social Welfare Department by anyone with a concern.
In Malaysia, suspected or known cases of child abuse and neglect can be reported to the following primary authorities:
Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM)
Government Hospitals or Clinics
Social Welfare Department (Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat - JKM)
Reports can be made by anyone, regardless of age, gender, profession, religion, or relationship to the child. You do not need proof - reasonable concern is enough to make a report.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact the police or seek urgent medical care immediately.
