Who Should You Report To?

Reports of suspected child abuse in Malaysia can be made to the Police, Government Hospitals, or the Social Welfare Department by anyone with a concern.

In Malaysia, suspected or known cases of child abuse and neglect can be reported to the following primary authorities:

  • Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM)

  • Government Hospitals or Clinics

  • Social Welfare Department (Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat - JKM)

Reports can be made by anyone, regardless of age, gender, profession, religion, or relationship to the child. You do not need proof - reasonable concern is enough to make a report.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact the police or seek urgent medical care immediately.
